Angélica Fernández Palma

Since young, I started an interest in drawing and always with special attention to searching for diverse forms of expression. I started painting my first works in 1997. I did so for 10 years as an autodidact, exploring different techniques until I decided to devote myself to art more seriously. At first I took classes to learn drawing with Jaime León and then with the renowned artist Matias Vergara. With time, what started as a hobby became my passion. I like playing with colors, seeking harmony in shaping the figurative into abstract. I enjoy using strong colors and thus reflect my natural joy in my paintings. Before finishing every work, I dedicate time to observe it and evaluate what bothers me from it, and decide what I want to change and what to improve. Only once I am satisfied with it, I consider it finished. Currently I am completely dedicated to painting, it is something that really excites me and makes me happy.
